    VUSBC Chapter 1 Section 110.5 states: “The signature of the building official or authorized representative shall be on or affixed to every permit.”

     

    What individuals other than the Building Official are authorized to sign building permits?

    The “authorized representative” referenced in 110.5 can be anyone who has been designated by the Building Official unless such authority has been specifically limited by the locality.  See 106.2.
