2018 Special Award Nominations Due August 24 2018

Please nominate your local, regional, and state code official colleagues and building industry peers for a VBCOA Special Award to recognize and acknowledge their outstanding service, contribution, and accomplishment! Virginia remains extremely fortunate to possess exceedingly knowledgeable, valuable, and dedicated professionals that individually and collectively support and contribute to the success of the VBCOA vision, mission, and organization as well as the safety, health, and welfare of the constructed environment, and who significantly contribute to and impact the code compliance/enforcement professions, the design/construction/manufacturing industries, the state and/or national code development processes, and/or the building code community.

Please submit the completed 2018 Annual Award Nomination Form to the VBCOA Awards and Resolutions Committee Chairs, Mike Williams at mike.williams@harrisonburgva.gov or Paula Eubank at peubank@arlingtonva.us by 5:00 PM August 24 2018. The VBCOA Annual Award categories are Meritorious Service (including subcategories of Building Official, Technical Assistants, VBCOA Members, or Registered Design Professionals), Public Service, and Citizen Award, with detailed descriptions located on the Annual Award Nomination Form. All VBCOA Annual Award nominations shall be considered by the A&R Committee based upon the merits presented.

The 2018 VBCOA Annual Award recipients shall be recognized at the Annual Banquet of the 2018 VBCOA Annual Conference in Williamsburg Virginia on September 16 – 18 2018. The VBCOA Awards and Resolutions Committee looks forward to your attendance and participation at the 2018 VBCOA Annual Conference while we all take opportunity to acknowledge and honor our code official colleagues and building industry peers!
