I noticed on the DHCD website that the 2018 code will (finally) go into effect July 1. Has anybody heard whether DHCD or VBCOA will be offering any training sessions?
DHCD will most certainly require mandatory code update training for code officials, etc. This will probably be through the Virginia Knowledge Center (online). Many if not most VBCOA Regions also offer code update training to contractors, engineers, architects, etc. The best option or way to obtain information would be through your local Building Department or the local VBCOA Region. Hope this helps.
