It is definitely a breach of contract but if the City doesn’t catch the builder is installing TJI 210s instead of IB400s and that is stamped are allover the joists, why does he submit them to have the city reviewer stamp them as approved? 2 other builders have met with me and the city and stated the violations overlooked are Building 101. Missing tiie down straps per code on sill plate….so much more…. Now high shrink swell soil has been found and my home is built on uncompacted fill dirt- I hired a soil scientist….it is unbelievable…..
