The Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is excited to announce the winner of the 2017 Building Code Safety Month Scholarship Essay Contest, Meghan K. Chudasama! A rising senior at Chantilly High School in Chantilly, VA, Meghan’s essay was unanimously chosen by the contest’s selection committee. It is clear that Meghan put some time, research, and thought into her response to the essay prompt ‘Code Officials – Partners in Community Safety and Economic Growth’. Meghan will receive a $1,500 scholarship award to go towards her upcoming educational expenses.
